When it comes to dressing for fitness boot camp it's important to remember - NO BOOTS REQUIRED! In fact, we prefer running shoes. Actually it's quite easy to make sure you are dressed properly. Just follow a few of the suggestions below to ensure that you are ready.
Be Tasteful
One of our main boot camp values at TBC is positivity. We just ask that you don't wear any offensive material on your clothing. When we are at boot camp we are a team with one common goal.
Be Comfortable
Come in comfortable workout clothes for you. Your attire should be something you feel comfortable running, lifting, crunching, and sweating in! Check out our boot camp exercises and drills to get a better idea of what to expect.
Dress for the Heat
If it's hot outside (even in the morning), make sure you give your skin some room to breathe. Wicking material is a good idea as well because it pulls moisture from your body.
Dress for the Cold
Think layers! We guarantee that after the first 5 minutes, you will be ready to start peeling. Layer 1 - wicking material, Layer 2 - long sleeve cotton, Layer 3 - fleece, sweatshirt, or windbreaker. Also think hat, gloves, thick socks, and even a second set of pants. Check us out in the Dallas Morning News for tips on boot camp in the cold.
Good Shoes
The best type of shoes for boot camp is a good pair of running shoes or cross-trainers. The rule of thumb for getting new shoes is to replace them every 300-400 miles. Don't know how many miles? Well if you are feeling shin splints, your knees hurt, and your joints ache, it's time!
Think Hair
Don't forget your clips, hair bands, etc...to keep your hair up and out of the way. It will help keep you cooler too!
